ChEAthon or Chemical Engineering Ideation Marathon is a one of the competitions created by IChEC as a space for the actualization and acceleration of ideas and innovation in the field of chemical engineering. The combination of the world of science and business is the main foundation to the birth of ChEAthon. This competition also acts as an incubation that challenges its participants to create science-based startup ideas focused on technology and material development. The competition integrates key startup roles: Hacker (Engineer), Hipster (Designer), and Hustler (Business and Project Management). Over 30 hours, participants will develop their ideas into a pitch deck and infographic.

This year, ICHEC 2024 focus on clean hydrogen and CO2 emissions, two pivotal areas in the quest for sustainable energy solutions, underscores the competition's relevance and awareness with nowadays issues. The collaboration with PT. Kilang Pertamina International also enriches our experience to tackle real-world problems. Plant Design Competition
Participating in the IChEC Plant Design Competition has been a transformative experience. From the moment we decided to enter, we knew this journey would be challenging yet incredibly rewarding. One of the highlights of this experience was the intensive research and development phase. We delved into the latest advancements in green technology, from renewable energy resources to CO2 reduction techniques for producing formic acid. Plant Design Competition
Ichec is one of the greatest competition events ever participated in. The committee designed the series of events in such a way that it looks awesome. Hopefully Ichec will continue to be more famous in the international scope, so that there are more participants from abroad.

Participating in IChEC was an unforgettable experience. The competition taught us invaluable lessons in perseverance, innovative problem-solving, and the essence of true teamwork. Regardless of the outcome, the knowledge and experiences gained from IChEC 2024 are priceless. This journey has not only enriched our understanding of chemical engineering but also strengthened our resolve to strive for greater achievements in the future.
Business Case Competition
The ICHEC Business Case Competition was an extraordinary experience. Here, we learned to integrate both the theoretical aspects of chemical engineering and business perspectives. This approach allowed us to develop comprehensive and realistic solutions to company problems. Additionally, the competition offered valuable insights through internal group discussions and feedback from judges. I hope this competition continues to evolve, equipping students with broader thinking and integrated problem-solving skills.
